In a small community such as Wellsburg, the rumor mill is the source of much information. It's even right some of the time. My Wellsburg Newsletter is published on the third Wednesday of each month. The editorial focus is on revitalizing Wellsburg while avoiding the excessive complaints often expressed on social media. Don't hesitate to give us constructive feedback. Suggestions for future articles are much appreciated.
Submit an article for publication in My Wellsburg.
As a community newsletter, we encourage people to submit articles of interest to the community. Naturally, the use of good judgement regarding content applies, and the administrator of the newsletter has final authority to accept or reject any submission.
The submission process is straight forward.
- Write an article of between 100 and 500 words using software such as Microsoft Word.
- Create a headline or title for the article.
- Give us your actual first and last name for the byline. We do not permit anonymous articles.
- Give us your email address and phone number. We will verify these before publishing. We must be able to contact you should there be any questions about your article. If we are unable to make contact, the article will not be published.
- One to three good quality pictures, images, drawings, etc. may be submitted with the article. These must be in either .jpg or .png digital format. Include captions as needed. Do not send anything with questionable copyright issues.
- Send an email to: admin@mywellsburg.com attaching each of the above items.
After review and acceptance, we will determine when to publish. You must be a subscriber to receive the newsletter with your article. By submitting an article along with supporting materials, you are verifing you are the owner and are giving permission to us to publish on both our newsletter and our website.
